Making cold brew: on the counter or in the fridge?
Should you brew your cold brew on the counter or in the fridge?
This is a common question, and our answer is: it’s all down to personal preference.
Room temperature brewing simply means you’re leaving your brewer at room temperature, or on the counter. Nothing else needs to be done during this process. However, when you’re done brewing, you should store your cold brew in the fridge. If you’re expecting fresh cold overnight, we recommend this method.
Some people like to brew in the fridge. I mean we’re making “cold” brew, so it makes sense, right? This method is completely fine, but you’ll need to brew longer (add a few more hours) than you would for countertop brewing. Remember, the colder the brewing temperature, the slower the extraction process will be. Other than that, your cold brew will be just as good as the room-temperature brew. If you’re willing to wait longer, try brewing in the fridge.
